Profile Features

18 x 40mm Standard Profile

The 18mm thickness and 40mm width place GW1840S within Gowin’s standard profile range. The dimensions should be evaluated together with the finished frame size, canvas tension and whether internal support is required.

Raised Canvas Lip

The profile includes a raised outer lip that provides clearance between the stretched canvas and the main face of the wooden bar.

Tenoned and Non-Tenoned Options

For standard tenoned GW1840S bars, the four bars are normally assembled by fitting the machined corner joints together, so conventional frame nailing is generally not required for basic assembly. Additional reinforcement may still be used depending on frame size, profile design and application.

Non-tenoned structures can be supplied when you have your own tenoning machinery or plan to assemble the frame directly with nails. Pre-assembled frames may also be secured with staples according to the assembly and packing method.

Adjustable Corner Fit

Assembly fit can be discussed during sampling. Some production teams prefer a tighter joint for light hammer-assisted assembly, while DIY programs may require an easier fit for assembly by hand.

Recommended Frame Production Uses

  • Standard stretched canvas production
  • Blank artist canvas manufacturing
  • Printed canvas and photo canvas framing
  • Framed wall decor with a standard-depth internal frame
  • Private-label and wholesale canvas frame programs

Ordering, Lengths and Customization

Lengths and Standard Supply

GW1840S can be supplied in cut lengths up to 300cm. Please provide the required length list and quantity for each size when requesting a quotation. The standard MOQ is 1,000 pcs per size, although a lower quantity may be discussed when the complete order includes multiple sizes or profiles.

Frame Size and Supporting Bars

From about a 60cm long side, the need for a supporting bar should be evaluated according to the complete frame dimensions, canvas weight, stretching tension and final use. For larger formats where the 18mm profile is not appropriate, compare Gowin’s heavy duty stretcher bars.

Bespoke Profile Requirements

If your project requires a different thickness, width, corner structure or assembly fit, provide a drawing or physical sample. Feasibility, sampling and MOQ can then be confirmed for the requested profile.

Wood, Production and Quality Information

Gowin uses pine wood because its supply is stable and longer lengths are available for stretcher bar production. Finger-jointed construction allows selected pine sections to be joined for longer bar lengths, while kiln drying removes excess moisture before machining.

During production, we check profile dimensions, surface sanding, joint fit, moisture control and packing condition. Regular pine supply may include slight sound knots. If a cleaner appearance or stricter wood grade is required, please specify this before sampling and quotation, as it may affect material selection and pricing.

Packing and Export Supply

OEM and private-label packing are available. Packing and labeling requirements can be confirmed according to the ordered lengths, corner structure, quantities and shipping method.

FOB and EXW terms are available according to the order volume and shipment arrangement. For customers who prefer a more complete delivery solution, DDP or door-to-door delivery can also be discussed according to the destination and order requirements.

Sample and Profile Confirmation

Samples are available to confirm the 18 x 40mm profile, raised lip, surface, corner fit and assembly method before bulk production. Please provide:

  • Required frame sizes and bar lengths
  • Canvas type and expected stretching method
  • Tenoned or non-tenoned structure
  • Preferred corner fit and assembly method
  • Estimated quantity, packing requirements and destination
